The centre provides administrative and technical support in applied fields for private and public sectors operating in UAE, covering all organisational development areas including providing technical support and consultancy in providing documents for participation in local awards and conducting self evaluation based on “Asses yourselves before you are assessed”. In addition, the centre provides programmes such as benchmarking, preparing and implementing strategic plans for organizations, applying international standards such as ISO 9000, environmental , quality systems and other tools and scientific means. Newly emerging areas in which ADICOE is achieving accreditation is Safety management, Customer Service management according to the International Customer Service Standard (ICS), Investors in People standard (IIP) and Investors in Excellence standard (IIE).

The centre provides integrated training programs based on the (EFQM) Model upon which all local, regional and international quality awards are based; including Abu Dhabi Award for Excellence in Government Performance (ADAEP. This award was established by Prof. Hadi Mohammad Eltigani who was the first coordinator of the award and who designed the criteria for all the awards categories based on the EFQM. In addition to having specialized programs such as Masters and Diplomas in organisational excellence by accreditation from EFQM and reputable British universities. Examples of such programs driven by ADICOE are leadership Development, Strategic planning at the corporate level, Human Development, Resource management, Processes management, Customer Service Management, Corporate Social responsibility (CSR) and Performance Management and Measurement

This is a service initiated recently to provide unique leadership programs for executives from both the private and public sectors. An Excellence Alliance has been formed with 6 of the world’s leading institutes (Oxford, Cambridge, London School of Business, Singapore Civil Service College, National School of Government UK and a consortium of Harvard Professors) to tailor programs catering for regional needs.

4. Human Resources Development

The centre established and developed an integrated program in coordination and cooperation with specialized international expert establishments in what is known as “People First Standard” in order to establish policies in human resources development and achieve personal and organizational excellence at the same time. People First Standard of the International People Standard (IPS) was fully developed by ADICOE as a clear road map to be used by organisations in Abu Dhabi and the region in order to achieve accreditation that is equivalent to International Best Practice.

ADICOE, in coordination and cooperation with the Global Benchmarking Network (GBN), organized training courses and field visits for excellent organizations at local, regional and global levels. Other newly emerging programs organized by ADICOE include site visits to Best Practices regionally and Internationally. In addition to drawing “ Case Study” approaches to fully transfer knowledge in the areas pertaining to the fields in question

This department represents the main source of self development in the centre by providing academic and scientific programs and preparing applied research to develop training programs and consultancy services provided by the centre. Moreover, there are post graduate programs; Masters and PhD in quality and excellence in cooperation with international universities

ADICOE organizes and manages the Sheikh Khalifa Excellence Award which is considered the main award during the past 10 years. It represents excellence in both private and public sectors. Hundreds of organizations were trained through this award in what is known as the program for training ambassadors of excellence as well as training assessors and experts.

This is a service provided by the centre such as Professional Masters in organizational excellence and certificates in excellence in addition to qualifying and registering experts and consultants in accordance with approved international qualifications

9. Competiveness Unit

ADICOE has also set up a research unit in Competitiveness to play central role in creating a knowledge hub in Abu Dhabi that will drive competitiveness. Such knowledge hub will be the platform for the private industry in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s private and public Sectors.

Again, following the successful launch of the first sustainability report to be prepared by ADICOE on behalf of ADCCI, it was decided to set up a consultancy and training Academy to help promote such awareness in these two newly emerging fields.
